ITAC attended the CISP & WPIE Joint Workshop on Internet Intermediaries (16th June, Paris), and made the following brief statement in the final panel session:
“My name is Roland Perry and I am representing ITAC, the advisory committee of the Internet Technical community. We are the people who design and operate the core of the Internet.
Most of what’s been discussed today is activity on the edge – but some measures may not be as effective as expected, or they may have unwanted and undesirable side effects; simply because of the way the Internet works.
We are happy to be contribute our advice and expertise to the discussion, as and when required.”
